2004 Saturn Vue AWD V6

This page serves as a blog for me to update my progress outfitting my 2004 Saturn Vue V6 AWD for overlanding, camping, road trips, and daily driving. Check back and follow my progress as I update the page.

The photo to the right will be the current state of the vehicle. The build list is as follows:

  • Tires: Westlake SL369 All Terrain size

  • Hitch: Reese towpower 4500 capacity (for recovery point)

  • OEM style roof rackcross bars

  • LED Interior Upgrade

  • Sylverstar Ultra Headlight bulbs

  • Replacement OEM Headlight assemblies

This is how she looked when I picked her up. A local Nissan/Subaru dealer had her listed for $1500. A lady who moved to Iowa from Virginia traded the Vue in for a new car. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it was a 1 owner car with a clean Carfax and a full maintenance history. It needed tires, the AC didn't work, and the radio had the fuse removed for some reason. I took her home, changed out oil, transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, and rear differential fluid. Replaced the front brakes and drove her all around the midwest. A few weeks later I put on new all terrain tires, a hitch, roof bars, new headlight assemblies, spark plugs, and a few other things. I've taken this car all over and I have no plans on slowing down! It's a nice change of pace compared to driving the Audi TTS.
